Grand Theft Auto V ( GTA 5 ) game review

Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) is an action/adventure open world video game. It was developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. The versions of the game for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 were released on September 17, 2013. The versions for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One were released on November 18, 2014. The version for Windows PCs was released on April 14, 2015.

Since the game is open world, players can roam the fictional state of San Andreas freely. This includes trips to the city of Los Santo and the open countryside.

The game can be played either from first-person or third-person view. Navigation takes place either on foot by in/on a vehicle. There are three lead protagonists that the player can control (all this can be done in the single-player mode). The player can switch between all these characters throughout the game either outside of or during missions. In order to progress through the game, the player must complete the current mission. When not on a mission, the player can roam freely through the open world and do whatever he or she pleases. The GTA 5 world is much larger than those of earlier instalments of GTA.

To fight enemies, the player makes use of firearms, explosives and melee attacks. Navigation can also be done through swimming, running or jumping in addition to the methods mentioned above.

Setting and Storyline

GTA 5 is based on three criminals who are being tracked by a government agency. Meanwhile, the criminals attempt to commit a bunch of heists.

Nine years after Michael Townley (a bank robber) botched a robbery in Ludendorff, North Yankton, he lives under witness protection. Here, he is with his family and goes under the name Michael De Santa. He soon discovers that his wife, Amanda, is cheating on him with her tennis coach. In his anger, he chases the coach to a mansion which he destroys. However, the mansion is owned by the girlfriend of a Mexican drug lord (Martin Madrazo).

When Madrazo demands compensation and threatens violence, Michael is forced to get back into the life of crime he had left long ago in order to get the money. He and Franklin Clinton, his accomplice, rob a jewellery shop. However, Trevor Phillips, the only other survivor of the Ludendorff heist, hears of the robbery at the jewellery shop and recognizes the work as Michael’s. Trevor tracks him down in Los Santos and the two are reunited once again.
